Richard Donnelly

Richard Donnelly “Dick”,  89, of Waltham, formerly of Belmont, Sept 23, 2021. Beloved husband of the late Ann M. (Tedesco) Donnelly. Loving father of James of Dedham and Stephen of Belmont. Cherished grandfather of Stephen Jr. Predeceased by his parents James and Barbara (Bates) Donnelly, and his sister, Dorothy Forbes. He leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.

In his early years he was an avid outdoorsman and he graduated Belmont High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force 1951-1955. A majority of his career was spent working for the local Belmont town taxi out of Waverley Square. He had a passion for conversation, the community and people. He deeply enjoyed his time at work as well as time spent with family.

Visiting hours will be held in the Brown & Hickey 36 Trapelo Road Belmont on Thursday Sept. 30th from 9:00 - 11:00 AM. Followed by a graveside service in Newton Cemetery 791 Walnut Street Newton at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are invited. Face masks are required for all indoor services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
