In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance issued on May 13, 2021, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) revised mask and face covering advisory effective May 29, 2021, Brown & Hickey Funeral Home will adjust its COVID-19 practices accordingly. Face coverings will no longer be required for family members. However, for individuals who are not fully vaccinated, it is recomended that face coverings or masks continue to be worn to help prevent from spreading COVID-19 to other people. People who show no symptoms of illness may still be able to spread COVID-19.
The CDC guidance says you may resume all of the activities that you engaged in prior to the pandemic without wearing a mask or staying 6 feet apart, except where otherwise required by federal, state, or local laws, rules or regulations. However, if an individual becomes symptomatic, they should be tested and wear a mask until receiving test results.
While COVID-19 is still very real and the pandemic is not over, I hope you will see these changes as progress towards a return to normalcy.
We sincerely thank you for choosing Brown & Hickey Funeral Home.
