William J. Mirra

William J. Mirra “Billy” of Milton formerly of Cambridge died unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at home in his sleep and in the arms of a loved one on Dec. 16th, 2018. Beloved father of Silva Bellitti and her husband Aaron of Bradford. Cherished and devoted grandfather of Aaron Jr., Jonah, Stella and Levi. Billy’s daughter and grandchildren were the pride and joy of his life spending almost every Saturday together. He was oldest brother of Mark, Joseph, David, and Christopher Mirra who all shared a love of riding and fixing motorcycles. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and a great nephew. Dear companion, longtime friend and love of his life Kathleen Vincent whom he called KVM. Upon reuniting several years ago, they resumed their love for riding his Harley Davidson, enjoying driving off-road and improving his Jeep, and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events - along with coaching them.  Over the last year, he began riding his motor cycle again, as recently as this past Saturday, and never grew tired of the freedom he felt on two wheels with the wind in his hair and on his skin.  Billy was passionate about learning, growing up with a photographic memory, he grew into an adult who loved books, documentaries, museums, and all opportunities to gain more knowledge about mechanics, science, history, politics, anything to stimulate his mind.  Visiting hours in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont on Friday Dec. 21 from  4:00 - 7:00 PM. As an expression of sympathy, donations can be made to Bikers Against Child Abuse (commonly known as B.A.C.A.), an international non-profit that “provide aid, comfort, safety, and support for children that have been sexually, physically, and emotionally abused.”
