Jessie Mae MacArthur

Jessie M. MacArthur, formerly of Belmont, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2017 at Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley in Littleton, MA.

Jessie was born in Waltham, MA, on August 18, 1934.  She was the daughter of the late Arthur McArthur and Evelyn (Gowen) McArthur.  She is survived by her brother Douglas McArthur and his wife Susan of Chelmsford; her sister Susan Donovan and her husband Paul of Lunenburg.  She is predeceased by her brother Robert MacArthur.  She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Jessie was a graduate of Belmont High School, class of 1952 and resided in Belmont for 65 years.  She worked for many years as an accounting clerk.  She retired from United Electric  Controls in Watertown, MA and moved to Mashpee, MA.  She later moved to Chelmsford to be closer to family.  Her fondness for the beach on Cape Cod and sitting by her pool at her condo was her favorite past time.  

The family would like to thank the staff of Life Care Center of Nashoba Valley and also the Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, Inc for their kindness and exceptional care they provided to Jessie.

A calling hour will be held Saturday, October 7, 2017 10:30 to 11:30 followed by a brief memorial service at Brown & Hickey Funeral Home, 36 Trapelo Road, Belmont, MA 02478. Internment will be private at the convenience of the family.
