Elizabeth (Fahey) Cahill

Elizabeth "Lil" Cahill (Fahey) of Acton, formerly of Belmont Oct. 21, 2017. She was born in Belmont on Aug. 11, 1933. She attended Belmont High School and was a graduate of Regis College, class of '55. She was a member of the Belmont Garden Club, a Town Meeting member, and volunteered at Mt Auburn Hospital. She was a senior tour guide for ExecuTours and a Eucharistic Minister and CCD teacher at St Joseph Church. She is the beloved wife of Gerald F. Cahill, loving mother of Michael Cahill, Anne Cahill Boyle and her husband Leo, James Cahill and his wife Linda, John Cahill and his wife Victoria, Kevin Cahill, Joan Cahill Davis and her husband Philip and Stephen Cahill and his wife Joanne. Lil was the much-loved grandmother of Michael Joseph, Matthew, Brian, Laura, Jack, Elizabeth, Gretchen, Eliza, Thomas, Sydney and Abigail Cahill, Connor Boyle, Christine, Robert and Timothy Davis, and was the sister of the late Barbara Kelley, Laurence, Donal, Richard and Robert Fahey.Elizabeth is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours are at St Joseph Church, 128 Common Street, Belmont on Thursday Oct. 26th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM., relatives and friends invited. Interment will be at Highland Meadow cemetery, Belmont. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Parkinson Disease Association, 72 E Concord St, Boston MA 02118
